The mandate

Innovitech was mandated to conduct a preliminary study of the expected socio-economic and environmental impacts of a major territorial development project in the Montreal metropolitan region in the context of a Specialized Health Innovation Zone. This project is part of the Zone d’Innovation program launched by the Ministère de l’Économie et de l’Innovation.

The approach

Our approach, in two (2) steps, first allowed us to structure collaboration opportunities into targeted and promising projects and to define optimal operating mechanisms. Then, a socio-economic and environmental analysis of the identified collaborative projects was carried out in close consultation and coordination with the Client. At the end of the mandate, a written report presenting this preliminary analysis and key recommendations was submitted to the Client’s team.

The results

    • Qualification and preliminary quantification of socio-economic and environmental impacts in terms of export potential, attraction of private investment from Quebec and abroad, attraction of talent, creation of innovative companies and impact on socio-economic and environmental performance and on the increase in quality of life.
    • An illustration of the social value and an estimate of the economic potential of the structuring innovation projects envisaged.
