The Innovation District / Quartier de l’innovation

The Innovation District - reflection of Montreal’s creativity.

Innovitech is experienced in technology transfer and in the development of technological parks, such as the City of Biotechnology and Human Health of Metropolitan Montreal, Technoparc Montreal, Technopôle Angus and many others. Innovitech is a team member of the Innovation District project lead by École de technologie supérieure (ETS) and McGill University. A few blocks away from downtown Montreal, the District, inspired by the 22@Barcelona project, is designed to create a modern innovation ecosystem where quality of life is embedded in the historical site of Griffintown.

The mission of the Disctrict illustrates Montreal’s ambition to become a city of knowledge and creativity. The plan is to develop an urban area around ETS and McGill attracting a dynamic, creative and committed community. This driving force will trigger the development of innovative companies and academic and scientific programs tailored to the needs of the world today.

This extensive project aims at bringing together the companies of Cité du Multimedia, Nordelec, E-commerce Place, the real estate projects of Griffintown, Bassin du Nouveau Havre, the Lowneys and Jardins Windsor condominium complexes, the site of Quartier Bonaventure and the scientific excellence of ETS, McGill and other partners.
